Children suffer the most during conflicts, natural disasters and are the most vulnerable to poverty, disease, medical needs, and incredible hardship.
Every day, an estimated 5,000 more children become orphans.
With approximately 153 million orphans in the world, Africa's 52 million make up more than 30 percent of the entire orphan population.
Children in Africa in general and orphans in particular are at high risk of not finishing school and are vulnerable to be forced into child labor or even become victims of child exploitation and slavery.
Safeguarding children against such harm requires providing them with a quality education and adequate healthcare and with access to clean water and proper nutrition.
Your partnership with Faseelah Charity (for Orphans in Africa) through your full annual or monthly sponsorship helps provide nutritious meals, clothes, healthcare, and an education to an orphaned child in Africa. It will enable the mother or the guardian, often a member of the extended family, to provide the level of care we would wish for all the children in our own lives.
